So how do you squeeze more cars into less space? Build a robot. Automotion Parking is set to open a second automated robotic parking garage in Chinatown next month. The parking system requires no human supervision and moves cars on a series of lifts. Drivers simply park on a pallet, put the emergency break on and leave. When retreaving a car the system even turns it around on a giant lazy susan so the driver can drive straigh out of the garage as opposed to backing out into traffic.
